Future dorm room?

Hey guys. I hear lots of folks complaining about their dorm rooms. I was wondering what you guys would like to see if you had a dorm room 200 years in the future. Any ideas?

bed, desk, fridge, tv

Adriana Lima.

Wait, not Adriana Lima as she would be in 200 years. The equivalent of Adriana Lima that exists 200 year from now. That’s it.

You wont be around in 200 years so what does it matter anyways

It doesn’t.

The imagination here is absolutely stunning. Really. :p

Personally, I’d like to see a dorm building that satisfies the dual need for companionship and solitude – that is, a way to share space without sharing it. Why have double rooms?

I say this mostly because I want full implementation of the new touch-screen desktop desktop (intentionally doubled there) as combined with the plasti-screen full-color television. Imagine the possibilities of having the whole room interactive and in full color…

I mean, imagine how much easier it would be to “pack” your photos you want on your wall by emailing them to yourself, opening them in your new dorm room, and then arranging them wherever you want? To schedule your exams and important times and whatnot, and then have the whole ROOM be an alarm, with a pop-up reminder?

So many possibilities…

And yet, basically, just more advanced versions of what already exists. :D

How about a room where, as soon as you walk inside, you plug your brain into the wall (I don’t know how…hopefully there wouldn’t be brain goo involved) and the room generates your perfect living environment, matching you with your ideal roommate in the same building based on your personality. Then, whenever you felt it was time for a room makeover, you just re-plugged in and it happened.

Takes a bit of the fun out of shopping for dorm stuff, but would be optimally comfortable and such :)
