<p>Can those who use the Priority apps still get merit money? Though the Priority app said it didn’t require an “essay” it did have a fairly long-answer essay-like question!</p>
<p>If by priority app you mean personal app, then yes. I used the personal app and got honors+24k/yr. The “personal statement” on the personal app is an essay. They’re just being clever and not calling it one. If I remember correctly the instructions said 250-500 words. Common app essays are normally around 500 words. I actually used my Tulane personal statement as an essay for another school.</p>
<p>If there is a different app called the priority app, then I really don’t know. I’m not sure what app GreggT did that didn’t require an essay.</p>
<p>GreggT-It depends on how you define considerable. Tulane has a pretty good reputation when it comes to finaid. Many middle class applicants do receive aid. It also depends on how big your family is and how many siblings you have in college. You can find an EFC calculator on the collegeboard website. If I’m not mistaken, Tulane generally meets around 95% of need.</p>
<p>I didn’t even write a personal statement. They said I didn’t need one and it wouldn’t affect my application.</p>

<p>If your dad makes $250K a year, it’s a waste of time for you to apply for FinAid. YOu may still get a scholarship though.</p>
<p>The Reily Center is awesome. Kids were playing flag football on a field next to it when we were at a recent swim meet. The new dorms look beautiful, from the outside, at least. </p>
