Ive been working hard lately and i want to see what you guys think of my chances of getting into tech

In state, male
African American

Gpa: 3.71 uw, 3.98 w
Sat: 1350 (retaking in novemver)
7 ap’s at graduation: ap calc ab/bc, ap physics, apush, APES, ap lit, ap computer science

Ec’s: Club, Jv and varsity soccer all 4 years, USSF Referee, part of school’s video production crew and morning announcements, spirit club, currently work at skyzone
Community service: made lunches for homeless people over summer, helped start fundraiser for hurricane maria victims at my school, helped raise money for school children in africa

Essays: wrote about overcoming my fathers death this year & dealing with adversity

Honestly, with any school that has an acceptance rate around 25% like GT does it is difficult to accurately predict what the outcome of applying will be. Based on your academic statistics and achievements, you are potentially right in the mix. Since this is the case, be sure to really nail your essays and get the best letters of recommendation you can. If you do those things you have the opportunity to make yourself standout! This year EA applicants were up 18% to 17700. Admissions were 23% last year. Extrapolating… that would mean admissions will be ~19% this year.
