For those who love Ga Tech, what other schools are similar and would satisfy someone who fell in love with Ga Tech?

Virginia Tech
Illinois Institute of Technology
RPI
WPI

If you are looking for more urban schools, Drexel, NYU Poly and some of the other [Association of Independent Technological Universities: AITU](http://theaitu.org) schools besides the ones mentioned above.

It depends on what you loved about the school.

If you like large, Southern research universities in large cities: NC State, UAB, UMiami, Tennessee, SMU, Rice.

If you like universities dominated by engineers: VaTech, Purdue, Case Western Reserve, Rose Hulman, Carnegie Mellon.

If you like a Southern research university with a diverse campus: Clemson, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Louisville, MUST.

I like the reputation, the smallish (everything is in walking distance) campus but with a big city right next to it, the architecture, co-op/internship programs, research opportunities, and cost :)

what exactly is a ‘diverse’ campus?

University of Texas
Rice

UT is too big, I think… at least I thought UF was to big when I saw it so I figure UT would be too since they have around the same number of students…

UT does not have a huge campus - it’s very walkable and a really cool city is right there.

UT-Austin’s main campus is only 431 acres. That’s too small for 50k people.
