<p>"As a teenage composer, Gabrielle Haigh grew tired of the common, sometimes facetious, question from observers in the peanut gallery: When are you going to write a symphony? </p>

<p>So, at the age of 16, the Laurel School student decided the best answer would be to write one. </p>

<p>The result – a full orchestral opus in four movements – has garnered numerous awards and is only one of many crowning achievements that shine like jewels on the precocious teenager’s curriculum vitae. . . . (continued)</p>
