Good tailgating involves tents, lots of food, games, large screen TVs and coolers. Sometimes it’s so comfortable you skip the game.
Obnoxious fans are a bane to everyone. It’s a good reason to have student and alumni sections as separate entities.
Students shut up if told to though in our experience–the older guys are the worst.
Back in the 60’s when you used to actually DRESS UP to go to the game, we went to a college game. The guys behind us spilled beer all over our seats (wooden bleachers at the time). My dad took the guy’s London Fog jacket (not cheap) from him and calmly mopped up the beer and on the dry part that was left put it down for my mom to sit on.
Nothing but an apology from the guy.
