Games for 50th Birthday Party!

My dear friend is turning 50 and I am having a very small surprise dinner for her with a group of friends (all women that get together regularly as a group) There will be about 10 of us.

I decided on a Mexican Theme as she loves Margaritas, lol. We will decorate accordingly and the food will fit the theme. I also think I will get a Pinata and fill it with her favorite small items and candies.

At some point during the evening, I would like to have a game or two that “celebrate” my friend. Maybe some kind of trivia game about her life or something to that effect. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas that would be fun and good for laughs?

For significant birthdays (my 50th and my sister’s 40th) we’ve made bingo cards with trivia/facts about the birthday person as the squares. We also did a How Well Do You Know…? The page had a list of questions and the guests filled in answers based on what they thought the birthday person would say. It was really fun to read the questions, have people shout out their guesses of the answer, and then hear the correct answer from the birthday person. We also did a “Older or Younger?” page with photos of famous people - celebrities, athletes, etc. and underneath each picture the words Older or Younger. Each guest would circle if they thought the celeb was older or younger than the birthday person. It was fun to find celebs that were in the same age range to make up the page. I think we had a few more but I’ll have to think about it more.

I like the Q&A format; you might turn it around to make it A&Q, like Jeopardy.
