Yes my blood pressure went through the roof when D was traveling and I couldn’t reach her. But Projects Abroad kept in touch, gave me suggestions and reassurance etc.</p>
<p>Yes you can arrange your own volunteer time much cheaper( possibly)- however for me- it was a nice safety net. ( since D doesn’t like going to the basement in her own house- I couldn’t conceive of her flying through Abu Dhabi by herself)
D loved India- felt very safe even traveling by herself or with another young woman- at 18 & would do it again in a second.( She was there for three months in Southern India).</p>
