<p>Did anyone else get an email today from bulldogs offering a gap year?</p>
<p>Yeah, I think it was sent to every 2013 admit. I would LOVE to take a gap year, but I’m so excited for Yale, that I really can’t fathom idea too much. Plus, I don’t have the resources to do much for a gap year.</p>

<p>I got it too at first I got a little paranoid thinking maybe they were trying to weed a few of us out to make space lol but I doubt they’d ever do that. Medicine is gonna take long enough as it is though so I definitely don’t intend to take a gap year.</p>
<p>As of May 1, the Class of 2013 was oversold by 17. Sounds like fewer than 17 accepted spots at other schools.</p>

<p>My daughter is most likely going to take a gap year.</p>
<p>She’s not yet 18, and also kind of needs a break from academics for a while. </p>
<p>(Taking seven APs this past year was no cakewalk.)</p>
