Hi all,

I applied RD to Yale last year, but deferred my admission to take a gap year. This fall, I’ll be joining the class of 2015! I’d love to be able to see the Yale admitted students site this year to see if anyone I know from my state has gotten in, but when I log in with my Eli account (which is still active, I guess), I just get the message “Sorry, you are not listed as an applicant and do not have access to the system.”

Does anyone who has gone through the gap year process at Yale know how this normally works? Do we wait until the RD cycle is done? Or just until the end of December when our paperwork is due? And, more importantly, do we also get the chance to request a free class of 2015 T-shirt? :P

Congratulations to all the early action admits, and good luck to everyone still in the college admissions game. I recommend taking a gap year if you have the chance – Yale makes it easy (just check the “I intend to postpone matriculation” checkbox!).
