<p>A major gas leak has occurred at School of Cinema 900 34th St. Fire Dept is on scene. Stay away from area.</p>

<p>Evacuation to continue until approx 2:30 PM. Emergency workers on scene. No injuries reported. Standby for further updates.</p>

<p>Hahah, I just got that forwarded to me. So insane. I mean that building is so new, and huge, so I am not surprised.</p>

<p>the gas leak wasn’t in the new building, it was next door where they’re doing construction. the workers just tapped into a gas line by accident and the surrounding buildings were evacuated as a necessary precaution. I was on the job at the SCA building when it happened so I got a nice short shift. :)</p>
