<p>So is there even a pattern? To be honest, i dont even think that there is a pattern. They are probably just doing it randomly…wait…I know…You know how they only got little over a month to look through all of the applications, they are probably still in the review process because there were probably way more people who applied this year compared to last year and underestimated the time that it would take to notify everyone. I mean, A LOT of people wanted this scholarship, and many are getting it. So, maybe it is just taking more time that both we and they expected.</p>
<p>The thing is that I wasnt even notified as being a finalist. Is there anyone who hasn’t been notified as being a finalist before getting the gates scholarship?</p>
<p>I have not received anything or heard anything since January. I am still praying and staying faithful for something good to happen. I reaaaaaallllly need this!</p>

when did you send your materials for the 2nd phase in? and when were you notified of going on to the 2nd round?</p>
<p>I got second phase notification on like the 14th of March and I sent in everything by fax like 2 days later.</p>

<p>Ok so intitally I had been accepted to UC Berkeley and UCLA. My decision became a lot easier when I foundn out I received the Regents at UC Berkeley and, due to my financial need, a full ride to UC Berkeley. However, yesterday I got the mail that confirmed my Gates Millennium Scholar!!! So my question now is, if I go to UC Berkeley, what will Gates cover since there isn’t much LEFT to cover? Will they give me money to buy other supplies for college and stuff or what?? And also considering now that money is not a concern (holding interest in pre-med) … what should I choose UCLA or berk? I havent seen UCB yet but on the 19th I will be able to visit the campus. Thanks a lot for you input guyzz!!</p>
