@Jotaro The tribal letter only applies to Native Americans. They are required to prove that they are enrolled in a tribe or descended from a tribal member. No other finalists have to prove their race or ethnicity.

Hi Guys! Im a hispanic finalist, and i just have a feeling im not going to get it as my verification period was about 2 weeks almost 3. Also, have you guys noticed that when you log into the portal it says the school you submitted the admissions letter from beneath your name on the right side. (Finalist Portal)
Does the student portal look the same for all finalists?
Everything you guys described sounds the same (other than verifications). My son’s is the same.
Any of you from DC or Maryland? They always seem to hear within a day. If those come in tomorrow, others should be Monday.

Has anyone contacted GMSP and a got an exact date when the notifications will be released?
They tweeted everyone would hear by mail and email next week, but did not give a date for either.
How long did it take for you guys to get things verified. I have heard HSF is slowest but im not sure… my friend submitted the same time i did and her’s were verified within 2 days so i dont think it looks too good for me
@exl028 It took 3-4 days to get my documents verified.
The notifications will be mailed from the main offices of the four GMSP partner organizations. UNCF and APIASF are located in Washington, D.C. HSF is located in the Los Angeles area. American Indian Graduate Center is located in Albuquerque. When your snail mail arrives will depend on the distance from your partner organization to your home address. This obviously means that not everyone will receive their mailing on the same day next week. Do not make any assumptions about your status until your mailing arrives. And as has been stated before, there will be follow-up emails in case there was an issue with your mailing address. Find something to do this weekend that will take your mind off the outcome.

I just wish there was an exact date and time so that I can just prepare for the news. The suspense will certainly be the death of me. :-SS
