<p>Hahastupidme and Hamman: if I remember correctly, didn’t you guys just recently submit your documents? If that is the case, then I wouldn’t panic too much because it’s just been received. I submitted my documents on the 13th and I have not heard back yet. I’m in panic-mode!</p>
<p>mr. tang, did u try calling them and asking them? i submitted mine on the 26th…i can’t do anything but panic…</p>

<p>before may? i thought they said everyone will find out “no later than april 15th” … why do they keep on changing their minds?? AAAHHH</p>
<p>so im guessing that all the scholars will be notified by april 15th. it is already the 8th and i haven’t heard ANYTHING, so i think i shouldn’t get my hopes too high…</p>

<p>Why do some of you have to prove your citizenship status? After you submit your forms, do they contact you and request for proof?
I submitted mine on the 17th and I still have not heard back. I’m with ASIAPF.</p>
<p>well, we had to prove our citizenship b/c on the SAR, it said “social security could not confirm your status”…i just emailed the lady whether they had received all the docs or not…she said that they had received it but i needed to verify my citizenship… (which I did by goign to the social security office and submitting my SAR again once the SS office confirmed it!)

<p>I emailed the ASIAPF office to confirm and the lady said my file is complete. My SAR does say that “social security could not confirm your status.” I’m wondering if this is the reason why they have not sent me anything.</p>
<p>yeah, if ur SAR says that, then u need to confirm ur status ASAP…i wonder why didn’t the lady tell u to confirm ur status. u should call/email them tomorrow and make sure that they do not need anything else from u.</p>

<p>Actually, if you take a look at the GMSP website, it does in fact say that all scholars will receive notifications no later than May 1st.</p>
<p>but the letter that we all finalists got said april 15th…
today is another day to wait…</p>
<p>hhsm: I took a look at the FAQ GMS sent with the letter notifying us about being finalists. They said, “You will be mailed a letter no later than April 15, 2008 and will be advised of your status at that time.” I guess that squares with Mr. Tang’s read of the website; it gives them 15 days for us to receive the notice by May 1.</p>

<p>The form that came with the GMS Folder has to be filled out by your COLLEGE FINANCIAL ADVISOR, correct? So I’d have to go to the college I am attending and have a fin. advisor fill it out … before May 22. Sounds right?</p>

<p>So how much will Emory pay???</p>
