Hey! I’m an international student applying to Andover, Exeter, and Groton for Fall 2026.
On the application, there’s a part where you list your achievements. Do I actually need to upload pics or files of my medals/certificates, or just write them down?
Also, if anyone has tips for the process (especially for internationals), I’d love to hear. Thank you so much
What’s the difference between extracurriculars and academic/athletic/personal achievements? (gateway candidate profile) like… school clubs go under extracurriculars, right? but then where do i put awards or certificates?
would really appreciate if someone could explain it simply. thanks so much
You do not need pictures of awards and certificates. You can just list them with the description and context for what they are. Put clubs and activities under extracurricular and any distinctions under awards/honors.
Other advice is to show a lot of interest in the schools you like. Sign up for the webinars and info sessions and listen to what the schools say they want to see in your application. They are not subtle about their values.

It may simply be that extracurriculars are what you do, whereas the achievements are your recognition.
Extracurricular: Debate Team (Captain)
Achievement: Won Regional Debate Competition at XYZ Conference
Or you can say you were the Captain of the team that won the competition.
Thank you, i really appreciate it
