UF is becoming more and more selective. For engineering students, UF does have some alternate paths to enrollment. One is the partnerships UF has with some community colleges for it’s engineering program.
The most popular is the Gator Engineering at Sante Fe program.
Students are evaluated for this program after first being considered for freshman admission to UF. Only students who have applied through the freshman admissions process and who have met the published freshman application deadline (typically November 1st) are considered for invitation to this program.
However, another program to consider is the one at State College of Florida (Sarasota).
Note that the Gator Engineering at SCF offers Mechanical and Aerospace engineering, these are not offered at Santa Fe (unless that’s changed recently) and they are both very difficult programs to transfer into from CC.
On Wednesday UF is hosting a virtual info session, if you think this “may” be an option, please join and learn more about it!
Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Join us for Gator Engineering at State College of Florida Virtual Information Sessions!
