Gays at Dartmouth?

The only thing that is keeping me from attending Darthmouth is that I have no idea about the homosexual community at the school.
I'm looking for a place where I can finally be myself not be Dartmouth that place?
Will I be isolated for being the gay guy?
Please someone tell I have to know I only have a few hours before I have to decide!!!

NiceGuy, you have nothing to worry about from all that I understand. I don't go there (yet) but my time spent at Dimensions had me encountering gay people everywhere. I never felt singled out for being gay either. Everyone there is absolutely cool.

If you have any more questions that you think I (in my limited knowledge) might be able to answer PLEASE email me at

Dartmouth is an amazing place to be gay. I promise.

I know that Dartmouth has a lot of student support groups. Besides which, I didn't find anyone there to be judgemental of others' lifestyles -- on the contrary, everyone seems most respectful. I think you'd be fine there -- and if you do go, look me up ^_^ I'm an '09 and recently committed to the college.

As you can see from those links, you're in great company!

haha, o man. i'm not laughing at you NiceGuy, its just it was being talked about in another thread.

here is what i saw at Dimensions: I saw guys holding hands while they walked on campus, I saw girls holding hands, there was queer bar night that I stopped in cause my host and i wanted free food (it was a happenin place sorta), I saw two guys kissing in a frat basement...

And no one said anything. Idk about the whole "there are so many gays at Yale" cause i heard more from Jews than gay guys. i'd say Dartmouth is like how California (where I live) is.
