Hi, i’m planning to transfer to SJSU in the fall 15 but i won’t have my California GE Breadth done.
I have completed only area A,B and C. I’m not done with D and E.
My question is, since i didn’t complete the GE and didn’t get a GE competition certification, does that mean i will have to restart my GE once i get to SJSU? Will i have to redo my area A,B and C? Also i’m missing 3 units in area D and E.
Do i have to restart area D again or will my completed 6 units in area D transfer over to SJSU breadth?
Assuming that the courses you took previously match up to SJSU courses that fulfill various breadth categories (see http://www.assist.org ), then you should need only to complete the unfilled ones.
After transferring, be sure to check the degree audit every semester and verify your fulfillment of stated degree requirements (see http://www.sjsu.edu/ugs/degreeaudit/ ).
Hi, i took Asian American 30 which is on the area C of my community college GE.
but when i look at SJSU area C, there’s no such course equivalent to Asian american 30 i took.
http://info.sjsu.edu/web-dbgen/artic/all-ge.html (the download here one) …
Does that mean taking Asian American 30 was a waste?
The classes i took for area D also don’t have anything equivalent to the courses listed on SJSU area D…
nvm, i just found out we are allowed to have Partial GE certification for CSU if we have completed at least one area.

I took a look at mine, glad to see everything I took at my school for GE will be certified if I decide to go there. Thank goodness lol
