General chances?

So this is less for any specific school and more of how well I can expect to fare based on my high school path currently. Basically how selective is too selective and such.

So I’m a white male (though I’ve heard it’s not necessary to state race on applications; correct me if I’m wrong). Italian, Irish (a bunch of other things if anything helps there).

I’m only a junior as of now so this a general pathway expectancy.

9th:
AP Gov: 3
10th:
AP Comp Sci Principles: 4
AP World: opted out (didn’t like my chances based on me having the class every other day)
11th:
AP English 11: (yet to be taken)
APUSH: (yet to be taken)
AP Chinese: (likely won’t take exam)

I’ve taken Journalism for my entire high school career thus far and plan to continue.

No sports currently but may consider going out for golf in the future.

Chinese Culture club for 2 years. Planning on possibly doing one or two more clubs (maybe debate team or mock trial)

Took guitar (though wasn’t able to fit it into my schedule to continue though I figured an instrument generally would help.

Currently in Quill and Scroll with plans to enter NEHS and NCHS (Chinese Honor Society just in case) and possibly more in the future.

I understand with so many uncertainties it’s hard to say but generally I’d appreciate your best estimate. Thanks!

No GPA or SAT/ACT so it would be hard to chance for any schools. What potential majors do you have in mind?

I agree with @Hamurtle. You haven’t taken the SAT/ACT yet and you don’t have any schools or majors in mind. I suggest you start planning out what tests you’ll take and when. Be sure to have a commitment for studying for it. Also, spend your junior year visiting colleges you’d like to go to. Get a feel for the campus and the major. Do they have what you’re looking for? What’s the community like there? Is it close-knit? These are just a few of the questions you should ask yourself.

I think after taking a standardized test, think about potential schools. If you want to dream bigger, aim higher on the tests.

I can’t really say much because you haven’t really given much information besides ECs. Hope this helps and best of luck!

I actually completely forgot to put PSAT scores. It’s a 1600 test by me and I improved by about a hundred points from the first time I took it to the last time. About 1210
