General Chemistry Placement Exam...

“If a student wants to enroll in Chemistry 141, he must take the General Chemistry Placement Exam.”

However, if someone get 4 or 5 in AP Chemistry, then does he have to also take the General Chemistry Placement Exam?

and I thought getting 4 or 5 in AP Chemistry means students don’t have to enroll in Chemistry 141 and can take more advanced course in Chem department…(because it is allowed to skip 141 course for 4/5 AP chem students)

most people who make a 4 or 5 on the AP chem exam and want to continue taking chemistry (orgo for premed students) usually start out in orgo and do not take general chemistry.
if your question is if people with a 4 or 5 who want to take general chem have to take the placement test, i don’t know the answer to that since most who want to take more chem even though they have AP credit decide to start in orgo.

so u mean a student who get 4 or 5 in AP Chem doesn’t have to take GENERAL CHEMISTRY PLACEMENT EXAM and can take organic chemistry right?

and… one more… General Chemistry Placement exam is the test ONLY for students who want to take General Chem and didn’t get 4 or 5 in AP Chem…?!

yes. as far as i know, you don’t have to take the placement exam if you received a 4 or 5 and want to take organic chemistry.

Thank You :-)
