Would anyone be so kind as to edit or give feedback on my essay? I don’t really have anyone to professionally give feedback on the matter and I feel like my narrative is a bit overblown or too touchy.

I’m not applying to Harvard or anything guys :P

I’ll give it a read. Also, for some perspective, what kinds of schools are you applying to?

I’ll check it out too.

I’m part of a “donut-hole” family that won’t qualify for Financial Aid but doesn’t have enough money to actually pay tuition at any school outside of my state (my parents make under $65,000/year but have too much invested in property and stock to write a check for more than like $10,000/year for tuition), so I’m applying to privates that offer significant amounts of merit-based aid and still have strong pre-med programs. My current list is UChicago, Vandy, WashU, and Cornell (fee-waiver), as well as UNC (awesome school) and a few in-state publics. I’ve never written a personal essay before, so again I apologize if it comes across the wrong way; I’d like you guys to be as critical as possible though. Thanks again!
