General Grad School Admissions Question

I’m currently an undergrad bioengineer at Berkeley who is interested in applying for either engineering grad school or business school after my studies here at Berkeley. I’m hoping to get into a top level school (Stanford, Duke, etc.). I’m wondering if grad schools equally factor in “non core” classes such as music and astronomy into my GPA when I apply? I noticed that when I was applying for undergrad, most schools did not count band, gym, and art classes in my GPA.

They care very little, if at all, abt your non-core classes. They may care for those related to your program but not closely related but music? Hell no.

There are so many other factors to consider and non-core classes mean nothing.

They factor it into your cumulative, but not into your major. I would agree with Moe that they mean nothing to a certain extent–try not to fail things :)
