General Question about activities may not be ECs

So I do things like read European classics that not a lot of high school students read/are not assigned in school. I also like to do Sudoku, Kakuro, brush painting, card games (such as Speed/Spit, but NOT poker - I hate it), board games, etc.

How do I turn these into ECs?
Some of these, yes, they do have competitions, but I’m definitely nowhere good enough to get anything from them.

For the paintings you could submit an art supplement, for the others you could start a club at your school for those who are also interested and/or mention these activities in one of your essays.

You could just mention these things in your essays. Or start a club like someone else said.

Thanks!
But is it possible to put down “reading” as an extracurricular? I read a significant amount of time each week…

I tried to start a classics club with not just European classics, but also mythology and stuff like that. However nobody wanted to join. :(

Stuff like reading and painting are great, but the others are just hobbies. Why would schools be interested in you doing them?

We have a classics society and a number of book clubs at my school, and I would say just stick at it, it takes time for people to join stuff. Bribe people with food into coming, and get friends to come as well. It’s also good if you can get teacher support.
