General question for AP Exams.

I wanna ask how many colleges can I fill out my answer sheet?
If there is only one… it will be really expensive… coz I’m gonna apply more than 10 colleges… and each report costs 15 bucks…
Collegeboard is a really successful business.

there’s only one.

you should only have to send score reports to the one you decide to attend (for credit/placement purposes). The rest you just list on the app, assuming they’re not on your transcript, at least this is how i was told it goes.

The adcoms will take your word.

So, the adcom won’t think that I make the score up?

I’m not sure, but can’t you send a copy of the score report you receive in July?

yeah that would probably be best.

and besides, if you lie and then get in and then have to send your scores and they see you lied, you’re screwed and will probably get recinded, so yeah, i dont see how lying would be a problem or how it would help.

They’ll take your word. It honestly doesn’t matter to them fully b/c actual scores are MOST important in course placement. That’s when they’ll need the official copy to review. With the scores you post on your apps, they usually check your grades in the corresponding classes to see if they substantiate the data you send them. Keep in mind, college admissions have TONS of applications, so they don’t have the time to verify every little detail. In general, that’s why you sign at the end that you’re providing the most truthful knowlege possible. An honest person would not go out of their way to look better in the applicant pool and accordingly, a busy admissions officer will not waste time verifying every single score. Plus, it would look bad if you were accepted to a school and then they eventually found the discrepancy in your scores. Did you know that such a situation is all you need to have your acceptance rescinded at most schools (particularly at the more competitive schools; the Ivies and top Liberal Arts Colleges)? So, just don’t lie! It’s foolish!
And you only report to one school. For seniors, generally you’re reporting to the school you’ve chosen to attend. For juniors and other underclassmen, choose the school you’re most interested in at this point (or don’t even chose one at all)! Honestly, if you take AP exams your senior year, you may always change that designation. I know I’ll be changing mine this year. Luckily AP exams coincide with the May 1st decision deadline, so I’ll have to know by then, (at least in theory) which school will be receiving my scores.
In any case, good luck to you! :)

-Jon ;)

exactly. i think that about sums it up.

have you decided on P’ton 100 percent, APDoolittle (Jon)?

I’m almost 100% sure I’ll pick Princeton. I’m going to their open house (creatively called, “April Hosting”) from Thursday to Saturday. I hope to get a feel for campus life @ Pton from my visit. I wanna experience what dorming there is like. I wanna see what the people are like. I REALLY would like to experience this whole “eating club” scene first-hand. I’m also waiting on all my school’s final financial aid figures, but again, I doubt any of my other schools can beat Princeton’s (close to a full-ride w/ ABSOLUTELY NO LOANS AT ALL) offer! So to answer your question, I’m not 100% decided, but right around AP time, I’m pretty sure I’ll be choosing Princeton.

You can call me Jon btw  And thanks for asking! So how’s AP USH review going? Drop me a line! Alright, later…

-Jon ;)

sounds good, Jon. you’re so lucky/skilled. APUSH is looking good for me. well, i think this is more of PM stuff (getting a little off topic for the thread), but i’ll drop you a line sometime.

Haha you’re right. And thanks for the compliments. I really appreciate them! Alright, we’ll talk later in PMs.

I apologize to the other posters. You may resume your original discussion about AP exams and college designations. ;)

Thanks for any comments… those are awesome…

I can’t lie… I just can’t…

haha. well, at least you now know that sending APs wont cost you an arm and a leg or so. :)

haha… thanks…
but how about SATIIs?
Do I have to send them everywhere I apply?

Yes for the SATs
