Here’s my question:
If I’m looking to transfer for next fall, does it help that I currently go to a top 15 university (if I want to transfer to one that’s about 20/21 rank wise) - in other words, sort of “transferring down” if I’m being technical
My gpa is 3.75 (about 3.8 after mid years) and my act is 31 (32 super scored)
Going from a USNWR top 15 to a top 25 is not the huge drop you think it is. Chances are that these two places consider each other to be peers.
What matters for you (like any other transfer) will be your college GPA, your letters of recommendation from your college professors, your clear indication in your essays that you have a solid academic reason for wanting to move from A to B, and maybe your HS GPA and ACT score.
