generic reccomendation letter?

Hi I’m doing a summer lab intership, and the professor wants a letter of rec.
I told my teacher that he didn’t need to put much more effort on the letter, because the internship is basically set up.
Should I tell my teacher to make my letter more personalized?
Here is my letter below:

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that i recommend (name) as a candidate for the lab program at (blank) university for this summer.

(My name) is a student in my (name of subject) class, one of the most rigorous non AP level courses offered at ABC high school. During the time I have knwon him, I havve found him to be an exceptional student. he is an intellectually motivated young person and has consistently performed well above average in all aspects of the classroom experience. he currently has an A average in my class.

(My name) has always been prepared to participate in discussions and problem solving activities and does so actively. He is a very focused student and a valued lab partner during cooperative laboratory exercises.

Most importantly, (name) demonstrates a mature attitude toward his studies and in his interactions with his peers and instructors. He has always been cheerful and helpful. His confidence and strong character are not easily shaken by minor setbacks in hsi academic or social development, a notable feat in the challening world of today’s students.

I believe his character is of the highest quality and because fo this he is well like dby both students and faculty. His potential for success and academic growth in the summer lab program is excellent and he is most worthy of your consideration.

Does this letter seem too impersonal/ generic?

Thanks

It’s a good recommendation letter.

Generic? Yes. You could easily swap in someone else’s name and it would still make sense.

It should suffice though since your teacher obviously thinks highly of you and it shows through this letter.
