How many essay questions are there in the transfer application? Is there one ‘Why X’ essay per school and a Common Application essay, similar to the Freshmen Entry application?
Edit: Follow-up question, is it common for students already in college and looking to apply as transfers to retake the SAT/Subject Tests then?
It depends on the college you are applying to. Each college differs in the amount or type of supplement question. Some colleges have a “Why”, some do not. What they share in common is the main essay(assuming you are using the common app).
For SAT some college students do retake them if they feel their current scores aren’t up to par. You’d have to check each college you wish to apply to because some colleges dont require test scores. Also if you are applying as a junior, your SAT wouldn’t matter much. Therefore, if your SAT score is satisfactory and not too bad, you dont have to waste money or time to retake it. Use that effort to focus on your college works and other application credentials.
