Genetics

Is genetics generally considered one of the more difficult science/premed courses? I know it’s not required based on the sole premed curriculum, but the majority of premeds (A LOT) take it at my school, and I’ve just heard that it’s difficult across the board at a lot of schools. Is this true to any extent?

In my experience, genetics was one of the easier biology courses we offered. Certainly much easier than physiology, biochem, and anything remotely involving plants, evolution, fish, research, or anatomy.

Depends on the school. At Cornell it’s a rite of passage for all bio majors.

For me genetics was much harder than biochem.

I also found genetics MUCH harder than biochem.
