I read somewhere that colleges maintain a “geographic quota” is that true?
<p>There are not any set quotas, but they do want a diverse class. Unless it is a state school- then they need a certain percentage of in state applicants</p>
<p>Schools will make an effort to select schools from all over the united states if they are private schools, and for public/state schools, they don’t want to select all of the students from one region or city, so they even it out.</p>
