Geography and Astronomy?

I need an Art course next year and I like a bird course.

I don’t know why, both Geography and Astronomy are considered as “Arts and Science”, so I am not sure if it can count as Art as well…

Does anyone know? Also which is easier?

Or is there an easier course? I heard Philosophy is pretty easier for Math majors because they use a lot of the similar symbols

I’ve also considered Art History, but they say the prof sucks lol.

All of these are first years by the way.

I suggest you take Art History, even if the professor sucks, unless you are certain that Astronomy counts as an “art”. If it does, take that. It is physics based so it would be easy for you math major.

Look up what courses count as “Art” in your course listings. Philosophy is usually a humanities or logic course so not art. Geography is a social science- also not art. Astronomy is science- not art. I’ve never heard of any of those course fulfilling an “art” requirement.

Art history requires a lot of rote memorization (know painting names, dates, artists, mediums as well as techniques and periods) depending on how it’s taught. Other options could be cinema courses or studio art courses (painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, even metal working).

I would also suggest speaking to an advisor to make sure that whatever course you pick will fulfill the requirement.
