<p>My son had a great time taking a class in volcanology in Ecuador (in Spanish). Climbed a few volcanic peaks with the professor.</p>

<p>Here is the link to the University de San Francisco near Quito. Many colleges and universities place students at this Ecuadorian university. He went with a program that incorporated volunteer work, ‘service learning’ into the program. It was life changing, as he discovered that he really liked teaching English, and has been doing that since college. Climbing volcanoes, as well as seeing the varied landscapes of Ecuador made for a great exchange. </p>
