So wait…when your student logs in to the GW admission portal, instead of seeing the “track my app” button, etc., you are seeing those lines of gobbledy-gook code? As the initial landing page? On a desktop or phone? Or are you doing some “control shift I” move while on the page (what even is that move that someone mentioned earlier)? This non-comp sci person is confused.

Tuition rates have been set for the 24/25 academic year with a 4.2% increase.

$81,620. Per year. $979,440 for 3 kids over 4 years. Hard to even type.
I don’t think any school delivers value commensurate with these costs. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to get off this merry-go-round.

I think people will start looking abroad for more affordable college options. There is no way to justify paying nearly $100K/year all in for school. Unfortunately for the vast majority of students, there will always be enough people who can pay whatever GW (or any other highly regarded University) wants to charge. The school doesn’t need to try to bring costs down.

I wonder how this will be reflected for those getting merit/need-based aid. I’m assuming that with the SAI, they’d increase the aid awarded to match that 4.2% increase, but I’m uneasy about that.

I’m thinking next week, GW gave advance notice for the ED2 applicants on their Instagram, so I don’t expect them to spring it onto us. Im predicting the 27th, or around that day.
I called the admissions office and they said to be on the lookout for a decision next week. I’m thinking either the 25th or the 27th.
