<p>Hello I am torn between two competely differnt schools. The early decison II deadline is coming up and I dont know where to do it. I am trying to puruse engineering in college. Bucknell’s engineering program is more prestious and alot better. But if I end up at gw I am hoping to have a higher gpa then transfer to a top engineering school. So should I do ed2 to bucknell or should i try to get a high gpa t gw and try to transfer to a top notch engineeirng school ??? please help</p>
<p>Choosing a school with the intent to transfer is not a great idea: 1) your GPA in college may not be as high as you hope, especially if you are taking engineering courses, making it hard to transfer to ‘top notch’ engineering school later (do not underestimate the difficulty of engineering courses at GW) 2) if you don’t get emotionally invested in your college - make friends, develop faculty relationships, find ECs you love - then you aren’t going to have a great experience for the first two years and 3) if you do get emotionally invested, you aren’t going to want to leave. </p>
<p>Of course, if you ended up somewhere that you weren’t happy, you could always transfer - but to go anywhere but a CC with the intent to transfer doesn’t make a lot of sense. </p>
<p>What about Bucknell causes you to hesitate about applying ED II there?</p>
