@Jacob4815162342 i second your question if anyone knows!
I haven’t seen too many Georgetown College acceptances yet…does anyone know if they usually release their decisions later than others?
Tonight is another potential night of acceptances, best of luck to everyone
Good luck everyone. May the odds be ever in your favor
when will the final batch come out?
The last day for any kind of result (Acceptance/Rejection/Wait listing) is said to be June first. Between now and then it’s a tossup, could be next week, could be in the next 30 seconds.
So, it is possible to receive a rejection/waitlist notification BEFORE June 1st?
I don’t think so, no
Waitlist notifications came out may 30th last year I think. Rejections June 1
so has anything come out today?? or are we thinking emails won’t come until tomorrow?
No one has posted about acceptances going out today it seems - perhaps we still have another hour or two until today’s batch goes out?
I wonder if the admissions board monitors this thread just to laugh at us desperately trying to predict what they’ll do next
I’ve thought about that based on what I’ve said adcoms could probably tell who I am
The email I received when I was accepted said 150 were accepted out of 2100 applicants. There are around 16 people in the accepted Facebook group.
That should give u all some hope! Plenty of spots
guess we will be waiting until tomorrow!
holy shit the acceptance rate dropped to 7% that’s crazy bad
I know, last year it was 12%, and 18% the year before that.
Relax, chicken littles. The sky is not falling. I called the admissions office on Tuesday and asked for an update on my application. They said that the guy in charge of the committee for my application is out of office until Monday.
I don’t know how they break up applications in to committees, but if it helps assuage any of your nerves my last name begins with an M and I applied to the MSB. There is a chance that your application will be reviewed next week or even the following week. We are only halfway through May. The individuals that have posted their acceptance here are no brainers- I’m sure their applications and qualifications are superb and were likely “first round draft choices” for the AdCom. Like in the NFL draft, there are still rounds remaining. I wish you all the best of luck!
Thanks @AJCoastie
as for the fb transfer group, not to scare you all, but there have definitely been more than 16 admits so far. I got my acceptance letter on May 1st and am not in that fb group
That said, I definitely think there are a lot more acceptances to come. And keep in mind not all admitted transfers will end up enrolling. Best of luck to you all
