Georgetown 2015 Fall Transfer Thread

I don’t think the acceptance rate actually dropped to 7%, the email said that they had about 2100 applicants for 150 spaces…in other words, more people will be accepted than will matriculate. Don’t lose hope guys, still a couple of weeks to go!

Is the transfer fb group actually monitored or can anyone just join? I’m trying to figure out if some of the people in it just joined because they applied and haven’t necessarily received a decision yet

@Brifes there is an unofficial accepted group (which I am one of the admins for), then there is also an official one run by Georgetown Transfer Council members. You must have a Georgetown ID to get into that one.

Thanks for the info @Luthsn

Is anyone planning on going to the Transfer Open House on June 5th?

Also, I was accepted SFS but I’m not sure if I’m transferring yet or staying at my current university. I’ve never visited GU before -for those that have, can you tell me more about the atmosphere/student body?

@GU2018 if you don’t mine me asking, what is your current university?

Sorry I’d rather not say!

anyone get an email today?

@princesstransfer nope! What was the email?

@GU2018 I was wondering if anyone got an acceptance today!

nope

GU has graduation this week up to sat. Should pick back up next week

Just got into Cornell for next fall, but I am still waiting for GU… When do the decisions come out?

@TheRower20 the latest you would hear back is june 1st

@princesstransfer thank you!

Is anyone thinking about applying to an LLC? Also, anyone going to the Transfer Open House in the beginning of June?

@GU2018 I’ll probably go to the open house in the hopes that they have free food and Georgetown apparel

Does anyone think Georgetown is done with acceptances? Getting nervous that no one on here heard anything this week.

@jrmiami i hope not, based on past years there should be more coming out

Anyone knows when do they send out financial aid decisions? I got my acceptance on 8th, May, but haven’t heard about my aid package.
