Is there a statistic for how many EA deferrals are accepted in the RD round?
2017 it was 50 I think
Daughter was waitlisted for nursing. .50 envelope with window. Southern Maryland.
LCO Would you mind sharing her stat?
We are still waiting for the results from nursing department.
For anybody who needs the link to the portal for tomorrow, here it is! Very nervous and excited. Good luck everybody!

To the class of 2023, I would start using facebook for college purpose like checking school facebook events, student group facebook page, and form a study group. From my personal experience, I find it very useful. A lot of students think that they don’t need facebook in college because they don’t care. The school facebook pages and facebook groups has tons of resources.
Hey guys, does anyone have tips on how to deal with rejections from top colleges? I’ve always dreamed of going to a top school but it seems I’ll have to let that go. (I haven’t heard from Georgetown yet but I’m not too hopeful) Thanks!
@ready4college0
I am a parent but I was in your very shoes many many years ago. I was waitlisted at my first choice which was Cornell (way back then Cornell was much harder than Penn). Got into Carnegie Mellon but ended up at Bucknell d/t financial reasons. I worked harder than HS. Graduated magna cum laude with honors from Bucknell with numerous accolades, research and still rejected from all med schools. Rejections were tough.
I cried and cried!
Got married and while pregnant with my first child (who just got into Georgetown yesterday), I applied to med school again. With a child in my arms I started med school.
Now I am a very happy physician, love my job, have an amazing career.
Looking back it is not the destination but the process that builds your character. I am more humble being b/c of all the rejections. Life will give you many curve balls. Believe me! It sucks to be rejected after working so hard. Cry it out. Go out and splurge on something for yourself. Go on a mountain scream your head out. Do let it out. But know that you will have many many chances to get to where you want to go.
Good luck to you all!
its Around 10% according to the deferral letter.
Massachusetts .50 with window
Georgetown was my dream school. Ouch.
I am going to guess I did not get in, 50 cent envelope in Columbus Ohio; I did get in to UChicago, however, so that’s probably where I’ll go.
Still nothing on Informed Delivery in Westchester County, NY. Mail seems inefficient for a relatively short distance from Washington, DC. Thank goodness for portal update later!
Georgetown should save the money on labor/postage and go electronic. It is almost comical how your GT’ fate relies on the mail and then after 3 days the portal will be open. All the chat about “postage” on envelopes…Many applicants near and far are still waiting. And will be using the portal before the mail arrives today.
Informed delivery shows letter is coming today in CT. I’m not going to give postage yet (in case my little applicant monitors this thread). But just letting the CT folks out there know that it’s coming.
.5 letter coming to Georgia
.50 envelope with window on Informed Delivery. Won’t be home until late to open it, so I guess I’ll see on the portal. I hope it’s a waitlist I guess since that seems like it is still a possibility. This letter came faster than my EA one at least! I’m in Indiana, about an hour from Chicago for anyone wondering about how far the mail has went so far.
For those with acceptances, have you all received 4 sheets of paper? My daughter won’t be home until late Sunday to open hers so I’m trying to pick up clues by the weight of her envelope.
.65 coming to MA today
0.50 coming to MA with no window.
