Is it worth visiting Georgetown during the summer? We’ve been to other schools, large ones, that were fairly empty and found it a bit hard to get a sense of what the vibe is like while classes are in session. Is this true for Georgetown as well?
Call Your Mother (two blocks from campus) makes a good bagel sandwich.
Chaia is great for vegetarian tacos.
Luke’s has a pretty decent lobster roll.
Skip Georgetown Cupcake; make the trek to Baked and Wired. Iykyk.
S26 was very interested in Gtown….until the visit. Got a sense of unhealthy competition/grind and dearth of fun despite awesome location. Did we just catch Gtown on a bad day? We all kind of got the same vibes.
That’s not my sense of the place, although it could vary by school (e.g., McDonough seems more likely to have this vibe than the College). But I’d encourage you to talk with students/recent alumni.
