so? worth bothering? thanks.

Definitely worth bothering. What school are you considering? The SFS might be a reach, but Georgetown College is definitely not far out for you. While your unweighted GPA is slightly low, it is not enough to throw you out of the running pool. Granted every year Georgetown gets more and more competitive, it is going to be your unique attributes that decide your admission.

You’ve highlighted leadership positions which is great.
You have alumni- which is FABULOUS
You have clubs, ec’s, and volunteering which is required. great.
Expand on the business (especially if you are applying to the business school)

Make it clear on your application why Georgetown is special as opposed to Wharton business or your local State Business school. Avoid using Washington, DC’s location- it is not well received on any application (as there are other places such as American University, George Mason, George Washington, etc. that offer the same). Research Georgetown’s mission statement, research classes offered, look up the core curriculum. Don’t lose confidence, it will show in your application, and the readers will see it. Show personality in the places where you have room to be creative.

Good luck, it is definitely worth a shot

Hey, thanks for the response.

I have been working quite hard on my essays to establish my political/religious/cultural interests.

To elaborate i actually started my own DJ business 4 years ago from scratch. [Dynamik Beatz DJs |Washington D.C. DJs|](http://www.beatzdeejays.com) for anyone who happens to live around MD/VA/DC ;)

I want to apply to Georgetown College because i am not entirely sure what i want to major in although i am leaning towards business. I just don’t want to be tied down. All i know is Georgetown would help me figure out what i want to be.
