***GEORGETOWN CLASS OF 2021 APPLICANT THREAD***

For those of you who took the new sat, what were your scores? Im just pointlessly panicing and really curious

Lol I took SAT Subject tests and got 540 Spanish, 590 History, and 750 English Lit. Guess that’s what happens when you take the SAT with the flu.

I took SAT new and got 1480 (770 M, 710CRW)…

Same! @KoliInd99 except CRW was 720 after superscore

720 on chem for the 3rd subject test!! that test almost killed me wish gtown didn’t ask for it

Is anyone else freaking out about decisions… about 4 weeks away :((

I am so freaked out… this anticipation is killing me… :frowning:

when do they usually release decisions?

Do you think applicants that have done the summer high school program still have that on record with admissions?

@khn2015 the website says “end of march” to me, thats probably between the 23rd and the 30th. The results thread popped up last year on the 26th.

@cisobelm haha me too I got like the same score on math 2 I was so embarrassed! And I waited until December to take them so it was too late to try again lol. Oh well I guess, maybe they’ll overlook it

Has anyone else NOT been contacted for an interview? Daughter applied RD. She called admissions a while back and was given contact info for her regional rep. - still nothing. Her grades, scores, activities and essays were all in range for consideration.

@run2021 Georgetown says they want to interview everyone. I would give the admissions office a call again- perhaps there aren’t alumni in your area?

Less than a month now until decisions! I was deferred early action, but took two more subject tests and sent a second teacher rec to add to my application. Georgetown and Penn are my reaches, but Georgetown is honestly what I’m aiming for. If not, I’ll probably be heading to BC, which is still a great option. Hoping for the best now!

Having my interview soon. Getting it set up. Georgetown is a beautiful school, been there. In the hub of the world, Washington D.C. It can’t take anymore to spike your interest in a school. Same could probably be said about Columbia. New york is the hub of corporate America I would think and is a draw all its own. Anxiety and excitement. That sums up the college application process. Lol!

I’m kind of confused on how the Georgetown portal/application works…do we get an email stating our decisions or do we log in somewhere? Is there currently a portal where we can check admission and financial aid materials that I don’t know about?

@crowningflowers you get a letter in the mail.

@yonceonhismouth do you know how international students are notified of their decisions? Thanks!

I think international students get emails.

Oh… okay then! Thanks @collegemomjam
