Have my interview friday.
@snicks1234 Good luck to you! I am sure you will do well.
Had my interview today. Went great. Lasted about 45 minutes.
By what date should we be expecting admissions decision letters?
@nervous17yearold April 1st.
Will we get financial packet at the same time as out admission packet?
Does gtown ever release letters earlier than april 1?
@balletgirl17 Last year people started receiving letters on March 26, so they were probably sent out the 25th. I’d say letters are released BEFORE April 1st every year.
Yeah, Georgetown doesn’t say on April 1, they say “by April 1.” That usually means a few days before. Anyone have any ideas when they will send out the letters this year? Are there any historical trends on what day of the week they send them out?
love this school so much. did anyone apply to NHS? is it more of a “fit-based” school as opposed to “whoever can have the highest sat score”
i applied to nhs! i was deferred from ea… what major did you apply under??
also, what do you mean by fit based? do you mean more holistic vs just being the smartest?
I guess I found this thread a little bit too late… It’s just about one week from getting to know the result, I’m getting so nervous!!! Nevertheless I’m still posting this and hoping others could chance me

I really love Georgetown and fell even more in love with it after attending a summer camp there. No matter admitted or not in the last, I hope the best for everyone of us! Plz PM me if you want to talk about Georgetown:)
Georgetown is generally a holistic school though right? As opposed to just scores and grades
Anyone know how many deferred student they admit?
I thought I read about 10%, but not sure.
i recall hearing at the info session that around 1/3 of deferred students are accepted
Gosh thats tough, rest in peace to me
@balletgirl17 The deferral letter said that they will admit 10% of deferred students. That sounds really low, but its actually pretty good. Considering they took the “top 12%” by admitting 12% of the early action pool, that means they will admit 10% of the remaining 88%. That means about 20% of those that apply early get in at some point, whether it be EA or RD.
