Does anyone know roughly how many applicants each school admits in the regular decision? I know not everyone admitted in EA will attend.
Does anyone know about the envelopes? Like does gtown do the whole big envelope small envelope thing + i heard acceptance letters were blue? Im just curious
I think it’s more thick v. thin than actual size. And I’ve heard about the blue too!
Thank you @Sunshinest
My daughter’s EA acceptance letter was a regular business sized envelope, it was NOT blue, and it was thick.
Are we expecting to hear back this friday or next friday?
Seems that people found out last year around March 27. Given what others have said about having an accepted students day for EA admits this Friday (March 24), I think it’s highly unlikely that we will hear from them this week. EA letters were sent out on a Tuesday afternoon and arrived mostly on Friday and Saturday of the same week. It seems likely that they will send out letters early next week (The 27th or 28th) and that people will receive letters around the 31st or April 1st.
I hope they send them next Monday so we receive them around Wednesday. The results thread does start around March 27 last year, so it seems likely that it could be earlier next week. Their lack of specific dates and use of snail mail really adds to the stress!
@nathancard Hey, I saw your videos on youtube after I got deferred from Georgetown too. Good luck!
@nathancard just want to pop in here too and let you know I also watch your videos. Congrats on WashU and Northwestern!!
@cjchasinglife thank you!! I appreciate it
Do they send it via snail mail to international students too, or we get an email as well? If its only by snail mail, knowing our postal service I will get the decision in May
@MeHowPL I’m not entirely sure, but I think internationals get an email.
@MeHowPL when I got a deferral letter, they sent to my house, where is international
Heard from college counselor that decisions are being mailed out Friday.
@StrugglinSenior where’d your counselor hear that?
I sincerely hope it’s Friday. I can’t wait any longer… This wait is killing me, especially for a school that I think I have a fifty-fifty chance of getting in:(
I have no confirmation that decisions will be mailed out on Friday, but if they are, then folks outside of the DC area will probably receive letters starting on Tuesday and Wednesday. DC area would have a slim chance of getting them Monday but most likely, they would come on Tuesday. Folks far away from population centers will be getting them on Thursday or possibly later.
Is it bad that I didn’t take any SAT II s?
You could get accepted with no SAT IIs , but not taking any could lower your chances on getting in.
