***GEORGETOWN CLASS OF 2021 APPLICANT THREAD***

Rejected, kinda expected it in NJ
35 ACT, 3.8ishUW, top 10%, 760 lit/680 history/680 bio, pretty rigorous curriculum of APs
Essays were solid, not outstanding.
ECs: Varsity XC captain, JSA President, MUN board member, Chamber Orchestra, a couple internships and decent volunteer hours tutoring for standardized tests.

Congrats to all who got in, and keep your hopes up if you were waitlisted

@ccwwbb Haha I also have 1520 SAT! Polish GPA doesn’t convert by any means so can’t compare that but its really good for our standards. Good luck with rest of apps

Waitlisted student from Argentina… I honestly thought I would be rejected (SAT: 1380 and no SAT II).

@cjchasinglife bay area…no email no letter yet

On the rejection letter it said 15% acceptance rate I think

DS Rejected in DC
New SAT: 1550 / ACT: 34 / GPA 3.98 / SAT II’s in the mid to upper 700s / 5 AP’s completed 2-4s, 3-5s / NMF / homeschooled

Is there a way to find out your decision besides mail? I know for USC you could also check a portal a day after mailing… Is there anything like that for Georgetown or must I keep suffering??

Accepted!

@rugby1 The actual acceptance rate is 8.07% this year. Brutal!

The acceptance rate should be 2*8% = 16%, since they are accepting more students for ~50% of the enrollment.

ADMITTED!!! (international)

I correct myself 1600 out of 21,500 is 7.04%

More brutal.

What what does entering class mean

Did all of the international students get an email? Because I didnt… SO I’m confused…

@esalinasgt Congrats! Are you military? (i see the sergeant abbreviation at the end of your handle)
