OMG I got into McDonough!! But I’m a little confused because they specified that my “Academic Program” is Business Administration. I doubled checked and definitely checked off “Finance” on my application and Business Administration was not even a concentration choice for McDonough. Do you think “Business Administration” is just a general program everyone is put into? Or should I contact Georgetown Admissions?
First of all, congrats. For me, I did not specify a certain concentration, and also had “Business Administration.” For you, the degree you will receive is the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance.

Deferred. This one stung; I really loved the SFS.
About me: 1510 SAT, ~ 3.65 UW (with upward trend), 780 World history, 770 US history, 770 Lit. Excellent supplemental essays, decent Personal essay. Probably got above-average but not stellar recs. Good but not mind blowing ECs (debate, editor of current events mag, mock trial, lots of community service, history bowl, youth group, part time job, etc). For demographic context: I’m a white guy at a private school in PA.
I probably never had a shot with my grades, but I had my heart set on this. Oh well.

Accepted! Applied for FLL in the college but my letter only mentioned “Georgetown University” as a whole
Deferred. Does anyone know where to send letters of continued interest? I didn’t see anything anywhere saying GU doesn’t want them.
@adpa403 It says on a past thread to email the letter to applicationmaterials@georgetown.edu, but I am not sure how accurate this is. If no one else knows where to send it, I would check with an admissions counselor or the alum who interviewed you.

@univcollsch546 There is an official facebook group. I am unsure if links are allowed to be posted here, but there is a link to the group if you visit Georgetown’s website on the admitted students page.
the facebook page says that “all members of this group are students you can expect to see soon - everyone in the group has indicated their intent to enroll at Georgetown in the fall.” Do you think there is something similar for students who are unsure of where they are attending?
Ummm… Informed Delivery is showing a $0.65 windowed envelope from Georgetown, which by reports in this forum would be an acceptance… BUT my D checked the portal on Saturday and read she was deferred. Did anyone’s deferral come with $0.65?? I’m confused, but probably reading way too much into the postage…
Also, congrats to everyone getting in, and best of luck to those who won’t know for a couple more months…
