Anyone else heard anything or any communication from Georgetown?
Havent heard a peep, may be early next week as its the weekend.
no word yet
Nothing yet, but that’s because they have extended the deposit enrollment to the 12th of may I’m expecting any call/email by next week
Oh they did? When did they announce that, never saw anything relating to that in the news/sources I have.
Idk if that’s the case for the US campus too but since im waitlisted at the Qatar campus, one of my friends who got admitted told me that and im also in the group chat so I get most of the information from them
I see, may just be for the Qatar campus - nothing shows for the US campus
It’s gonna be okay, we’ve come a long way and we definitely can wait a little longer even though it feels like a prison sentence T_T
I know they probably aren’t going to do anything over the weekend but I keep obsessively checking my email and this thread
I don’t believe anyone has received a response re WL status yet. Next week should be action filled.
lol I literally lost all my hope. The way I had to continuously convince myself that I’m not going to hear back from them just so I can get a good night sleep or else I’ll keep waking up heart pounding and nervously checking my phone and maybe if I keep ignoring it I won’t feel how slow time is passing and one day the notification will catch me by surprise
Guys, now that it’s ˜3 days until final decisions I understand it’s very easy to get worked up. I’m also very nervous but we have to remember college is just one piece of the large puzzle of life. Let’s look forward to finally getting some closure soon – good or bad news.
I talked to a guy working in the admissions department in mid-April who told me that it seems like there are going to be more people pulled from the waitlist this year
How could he know that in Aoril when decisions weee due May 1st?
Idk I’m assuming that less people had accepted their spot by that time or more people had responded rejecting the offer than they’ve seen in prior years. Even though decisions are due on May 1st, I’m sure a lot of people respond earlier.
Yes maybe - that makes sense!
Yield rates must be horrible this year, with all that financial aid trouble. I think its worse even for Georgetown who only gives out Need-Based aid. It makes sense that schools who only give out need-based aid are probably seeing worse effects of the FAFSA dilemna.
Does anyone know if there’s a specific time when they tend to send emails or call
No message yet from anyone?
Nope - wondering if it will be the 15th now
