Georgetown Common Data Set

<p>I am looking for the common data set for Georgetown for my Niece who has dreams of attending Georgetown. The usual google search is not revealing anything - do they not provide this info?</p>

<p>Georgetown has elected to resist transparency by not posting their CDS. The US gov IPEDS site and electronic US NEWS can provide essentially the same info, but it may not be as current as a school-published CDS.</p>

<p>Best thing you can do for your niece is to tell her not to fall in love with a school before it says yes!</p>

<p>If you’re looking for specific information, I’ll bet a member who has a copy of the full version, or membership to the on-line version of the USNews Rankings would look it up. That duplicates probably 80-90% of the information on admission and FA in the CDS.</p>

<p>She was wait listed and I was looking for stats on how many kids have been taken off the waitlist over the last few years.</p>

Number of applicants placed on a waiting list: 1,784
Number of students on the wait list accepted: 1,035
Number of students enrolled from a waiting list: 45</p>

Where are you getting this from?
My son was waitlisted two years ago and sent a letter with all his recent stats and was told NO ONE was getting off the list that year. Very confused.</p>

<p>Figures from latest (on-line) version of USNews Best Colleges. Unlike with CDS, you can’t tell which admissions cycle the numbers are for.</p>

<p>Notre Dame also does not publish their CDS. So after S1 was waitlisted at ND a couple of years ago, I emailed Institutional Research at ND and just asked for the stats. I received a detailed email with the info within a couple of days. Might be worth a try at Georgetown too.</p>
