We just returned from a visit to Georgetown. S26 is certain this is his first choice and has now spent about 60 hours on the essays….still not done however. Seems like he is a standard excellent student so the essays feel very important. UW gpa 3.95 ACT 35 (one and done). How are others progressing on the app? He also has his interview scheduled for this weekend.

Hi everyone. I applied EA 2026 to GU-Q. I am from central asia. My ECs and honours are a little above average(opinion). Anyone else who applied EA? Can u share the stats and if possible the country you are from. Does anyone know how competitive it is to get an interview and what is the probability of getting in after an interview(say it wend well)? By the way, does anyone know about when they will start sending out invitations? Looking forward for your responses

Is anyone able to sign into the admitted applicants portal without getting an “access denied” message? I saw people trying this a couple years ago an it worked for them.

My son has a 4.0/4.88; 35 ACT. Applied EA for business :crossed_fingers:

Anyone know whether decisions will come out on Friday or Monday….

I called the admissions office today. Someone answered (seemed like a college kid) and said that the past few years it has been Friday, and to expect a decision Friday most likely.

My guess is tomorrow too, if recent history repeats itself. Late afternoon to evening.

Do you know if georgetown will confirm the release date or should we just keep on the lookout for an update to the admissions portal?

If they follow the same script as other years, an email will be sent right before you can access the results through your portal.

decisions are being released in 30 mins :slight_smile: I have my heart set on this school, so its definitely nail biting

Thanks. Good idea to get an additional, strong, LOR. I didn’t see the deferral notification and am curious what Georgetown recommended as next steps.
My son appeared to be in the hunt in terms of GPA, SAT and ECs. But he understood deferral was probable. Fortunately he received a couple of EA acceptances elsewhere (with good merit awards) and has several colleges on his list he would love to attend. So maybe ED2, or maybe let it ride and submit a group of RD options.

Also, I want to congratulate all the students who received acceptances. Great job! And to those who received deferrals: don’t lose heart!
