Georgetown Medical Research: Clinical Trials Resulting in Medical Discoveries

My daughter applied for the Georgetown medical research pre-college program.
She is 14 and got into all the courses she applied for, including the more advanced college credit ones and the medicine/surgery ones. When applying they also only asked for an essay and none of her accomplishments, grades, extracurriculars, etc. The minimal information asked and the fact that she got accepted so easily feels so strange to me.
This is a 2,000-dollar course and even though the university is wonderful, I am skeptical about this pre-college program.
Has anyone gone to a Georgetown precollege ONLINE program (specifically to the medical research one)? Did anyone find it reliable and worth the money?
Thank you!!

Most of the pay to play programs accept most kids provided they have space. They aren’t particularly competitive and are just money makers for the schools. That said, if your kid is interested in it and you can afford it, then it’s fine,
