<p>I’m a guy applying to the nursing program. Will it help a lot that I’m a guy opposed to a girl? Also looking at Emory and BC for nursing.</p>

<p>Math: 620 CR: 590 Georgetown doesn’t look at writing
SATII’s- Math I-630 Math II-590 Bio M- 600
GPA- 3.8 Unweighted- not quite top 10%</p>

<p>Work Experience- 20 hrs a week since the summer of my freshman year
Volunteering- about 100 hrs.</p>

<p>SATs seem to be a bit low for those schools… Have you taken the Decemeber one? did you sign up for the january one? Because I really think you should retake them</p>

<p>I took the subject tests in Dec. I should probably take the Jan. test.</p>

<p>wow nursing, under rated profession for males (make up to 6 digits, start around 60-80 grand). Im sure the fact you’re a male will help in that colleges are always trying to find a balance between men and women. However, for GTOWN your SAT is way too low as for Emory as well (both schools are top 20). BC might be more forgiving because of your HIGH GPA. You should take SAT 1 JAN 1st and try to get around 1300 (1900ish) and i can defienitly see BC happening and possibly gtown/emory. gl.</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure colleges won’t think his GPA is very high when they notice it’s not even in top 10% of his school.</p>
