I’m at Colgate University right now (I think ranked 16 for liberal arts colleges), but I MUST get out of this place!!

Why Georgetown (GC) or Barnard or Swarthmore? I want to study legal anthropology and work with North Korean refugees. My ultimate goal? To work for the United Nations High Commissoner for Refugess or the Human Rights Committee. Some pretty high aims, but it’s always good to dream big, right?

Anyway, my gpa as of now is a 4.0 (Intro to Anthro A-; Intro to Sociology, my Fsem A+, Core Korea A, Intermediate French A). This semester I’m taking Ethics, Intro to Psych, War in Lived Experience (Soc/Anthro-PCon cross course), Western Traditions (core class).

My problem is that I didn’t work so hard in high school, along with the fact that it was an extremely competitive pub school. I don’t remember specifically, but my gpa was over 3.6 (unweighted), my SATs definitely over 2000, I took many APs and AP tests, took several SATIIs, and did a lot of non-school related extra-curriculars.

And unfortunately, I do need financial aid. I know schools say fin aid doesn’t affect their decision, but…I know it does a little.

Will I be okay? Back to applications…
