Georgetown, Penn, NYU updated Profile

On February 22nd, I realized that there was a mistake on my CSS Profile. The IRA value was way off. That same day, I emailed each CSS school the Profile page with the corrected IRA value with an explanation of what I was sending. I had wrote in the new value and scanned it. Four of the colleges replied within a week. Each said something along the lines of “thank you- we have forwarded this document to your file.” Georgetown, Penn, and NYU still have not even responded. It’s been 11 days.

What do I do? My fax machine does not work terribly well, which is why I emailed the document instead. I could try to fax it but then I run the risk of sending duplicate documents and causing a delay. Also, Penn’s online document upload system screwed me over when I was submitting my family’s tax documents so I don’t trust it.

Call the schools & ask.

Alright… I just hope it’s not too late to fix the document. Better late than never I guess. @Publisher

Yep…call and ask.

Actually…ask them HOW they want corrections to the Profile. Maybe you didn’t do their process!

But really…maybe they aren’t responding because they don’t USE the IRA value for anythin in terms of calculating need based aid.

UPDATE I just called each school and Penn and Georgetown said they received the document that I emailed but never sent me confirmation. NYU said they sent me confirmation on March 4th, which is a Sunday…

@thumper1 I didn’t know that! That could very well be a reason that they didn’t respond.

Glad you got your answer!
